A participant in Spira's underwater sport, Blitzball, When he is put into the battle against Sin, the responsibility is too much for him. The game begins with the party sitting around a campfire, and Tidus telling the story. The rest of the game is a flashback with Tidus narrating many cut scenes in pat tense. |

Daughter of the great summoner Blaska, Yuna is the troubled and reflective female character of FFX, and the one Tidus has the hots for. She is learning the summoning of Aeons, Yuna is a key member of the party because of her ability to control these powerful beasts, and also because of her healing and white magic.Even though the main character is Tidus, the story also focuses a lot on Yuna and her troubles trying to learn summoning of Aeons. |
| Wakka |

A veteran Blitzball player and captain of the Besaid Aurochs, Wakka plans to retire from Blitzball because he is in charge of protecting Yuna. Wakka wears his team uniform and uses a Blitzball as his main weapon. Wakka likes Tidus because he plays Blitzball. |
| Lulu |

The character 9 out of 10 goth girls wish they were as cool as, Lulu is a black mage that's seen Yuna develop her mystical skills, and is as close to her as a sister. A guardian of Yuna on the quest, Lulu is the most serious member of the party. Final Fantasy fans will like her weapons, dolls shaped like bosses from the game's history. |
| Kimhari |

Even though he is the biggest member of the group, Kimhari is actually small for his race, known as the Ronso. Kimhari has protected Yuna since she was a child, but no one knows why. The silent brute has the blue magic ability to learn enemy techniques, and some attacks that he makes with his polearm are like the attacks of the lancers from past Final Fantasy games. |
| Auron |

Auron knew Tidus and Yuna's father, and helped defeat Sin a decade ago. Presumed dead, Auron comes back to teach Tidus combat skills while their city is being taken over by Sin. Auron knows more about Sin than he is willing to tell, but he serves the party well as being a swordsman. |
| Rikku |

Although you meet Rikku first, she is the last to join the party. Young and brash, she is devoted to the cause nonetheless. Rikku is able to steal from enemies, and is an expert at defeating mechanical foes thanks to her dad, Cid. (Yes the Cid from FFVII.) |
